Research Associate / Software Engineer
ETRI: Electronics and Telecommunications Research Institute, Seoul, SOUTH KOREA
Tenure: July 2005 - January 2007
Worked as part of a collaboration effort involving the University of
Western Ontario, IBM Canada, and the Electronics and Telecommunications
Research Institute (ETRI) of South Korea.
The work was part of a broader goal to develop autonomous management
technology for clusters of servers or server farms. Since a Web server is a
central component in such systems, our initial work focused on Web Server Quality of Service (QoS)
provisioning with a particular focus on performance management through dynamic adjustment
of applications' and systems' configuration/tuning parameters.
