Elected by Graduate Students to sit on a committee consisting of the Graduate Program Chair,
three faculty members, and the Graduate Secretary.
The GEC deals with the day-to-day running of the Graduate Program and meets when program changes
are proposed, when graduate applications are being considered, and to conduct Annual Progress Reviews.
A research group consisting of faculty, post-doctorate, Ph.D., and M.Sc. students.
As the chair, I was responsible for overseeing the overall running of DiGS, including organizing weekly
discussions and scheduling presentations, maintaining the group's website, as well as organizing social events.

MedOutreach provides opportunities for medicine, nursing, and dentistry students to spend four months in Tanzania every summer promoting
health care principles through education, advocacy, and humanitarian work.
Taught an introductory Swahili course to prepare students travelling to Tanzania.

IGSIC: International Graduate Student Issues Committee

A graduate students organization, sponsored by the Society of Graduate Students (SOGS),
aspiring to promote international understanding through the shared experience of culture
between Canadian and International Students.
As the IGSIC chair, I was responsible for organizing social events, facilitating committee meetings,
preparing yearly budget proposals, updating IGSIC website, and recruiting new members
to serve on the committee.
An annual forum for students, faculty, and staff to exchange
idea and learn about the state of research activities within the Department of Computer Science.
As the conference chair, I was responsible for the overall running of the conference, including but not limited to:
determining the conference venue; designing, developing, and maintaining the conference's website; advertising and managing conference registrations;
designing, producing, and distributing conference proceedings; managing the scheduling as well as overseeing the running of the conference - including
assigning session chairs and judges.

As the session (Computer Algebra) judge , my primary responsibility included evaluating and grading individual presentations
based primarily on the content and the delivery of the presentation.
A community-based, non-profit, charitable global education and resource centre aimed at promoting
understanding of global issues among individuals and groups within the Kawartha region.
